Fan engagement platform OnceMore has shattered ChatGPT’s record of a million users in five days, reaching the same milestone in less than two days, according to a company statement.
The service, which launched earlier this month, reported 1.9 million visitors and 1 million registered users across 60 countries in its first 42 hours.
OnceMore’s rapid uptake underscores the growing potential of AI-powered entertainment platforms that are revolutionizing the fan experience across sports, movies, gaming and more.
An innovative entertainment offering that goes beyond traditional content and social platforms, the company focuses on building meaningful interactions between fans and the entertainment they love.
It works by partnering with entertainment sources – from movies to artists to sports teams – creating a dedicated space for fans to interact with their content.
Users gain exclusive access to content including behind-the-scenes videos and AI character interactions, while also being able to play themed games to unlock rewards like digital collectibles and signed comic book copies.
The platform exemplified the success of its model through an inaugural partnership with the recently released Indian Telugu hit film “They Call Him OG”, which allowed fans to play movie-themed games to unlock exclusive content.
“In difficult seasons of life, my favorite movies and music have brought me comfort and joy. Although I knew I wasn’t alone in that, it’s been incredible to see just how hungry others also were for more meaningful interactions with their favorite art,” said OnceMore founder Akash Mamidi.
Mamidi, a Stanford Computer Science Graduate, oversees teams in San Francisco and Hyderabad and has received backing from Unshackled Ventures, Cherubic Ventures, TA Ventures, Sketchnote Venture Partners, as well as other angel investors.
Looking to the future, OnceMore is planning a partnership with another Indian blockbuster scheduled for release in early 2026.
It is also leveraging AI to develop new forms of adaptive entertainment, including customizable storylines and interactions with characters.
OnceMore’s success reflects how AI is rapidly transforming the fan engagement market, which is already valued at over US$6 billion annually and is expected to grow 16% annually over the next 10 years.
AI is increasingly indispensable to the development of compelling and engaging experiences for fans across a range of industries. In fact, nearly 70% of consumers say they would rather spend their money on a brand that delivers personalized digital experiences than one that does not, according to a Deloitte report.
OnceMore’s success highlights how AI can power the types of hyper-personalized content and interactive experiences that transform passive fans into active participants.
With the global entertainment industry booming worldwide, there is no shortage of fans and fandoms for platforms like OnceMore to tap into. The firm’s ability to attract one million users in less than two days underscores the ever-growing demand for authentic entertainment experiences.
