Tech startup Credibl announced today that Viral Thakker is being named Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it expands further into the enterprise market.
Thakker brings nearly three decades of experience in sustainability transformation, having most recently served as Deloitte’s Global Consulting Services Sustainability Technology & Transformation Leader and Head of Sustainability & Climate Practice for South Asia.
Said Jitesh Shetty, Co-Founder and CEO, “Viral’s appointment is transformational for Credibl. He brings deep sustainability expertise and a global network that will accelerate our enterprise growth. As regulations tighten, companies need a trusted technology partner who understands both compliance and transformation. Viral embodies that combination.”
For years, corporate sustainability was framed around voluntary CSR initiatives.
But today, ESG reporting is becoming a regulatory requirement that directly impacts access to capital, insurance, and supply-chain contracts.
“Sustainability has moved from CSR to compliance,” said Thakker. “Companies that build robust ESG data infrastructure now will gain a competitive advantage. Those that delay will face regulatory penalties, investor scrutiny, and market access barriers.”
Credibl’s platform enables companies to manage Scope 3 emissions, assess supply-chain impacts, and centralize ESG data in a single, audit-ready system. By automating reporting workflows, the company helps enterprises move beyond spreadsheets to enterprise-grade sustainability intelligence.
